A significant value-add to our team, has been Peter Miles, Superintendent of the JTM Fire Alarm division and 30-year veteran of the fire alarm industry. His expertise has saved our customers time and hassle, translating into saved costs. Miles lends his vast knowledge of fire detection solutions at the start of any construction project, even before a fire alarm permit is issued. He learns the building codes and local jurisdiction requirements. Furthermore, he calls the fire marshal or the reviewing agency and asks about specific permit regulations or changes. By the time Miles submits fire alarm design-build specifications per code, his diligent research has paid off. The permit is approved. Meantime, his JTM colleagues are at the construction site installing electrical work and keeping him up to date on the schedule. When the customer is ready to install the fire alarm system, the same JTM electricians who have been installing the conduit raceways for the entire building can also install the wiring / cabling for the fire alarm detection / notification system. The transition is seamless.
